The Audi TTR (Gen1) 'lost' the rear seats from the coupé, and as such lost the whole fabric roof below body line. You sat neck height in a TTR, and maintained a look of determination, and maintained the purest sillouhette lines l have ever seen on a sportscar . Huge correct height head restraints, and aluminium coloured roll over hoops, looked lovely and aggressive too. And being cat called a hairdresser from the kerb by jealous boyfriends, who noticed their girlfriends giving me the eye....Always left me with a feeling of being desired. I could actually pick up any girl in that car, l had already passed their interview......Nice.

The cars and bids listing for this car, which ended up selling for $30,600, is infuriating. The single owner of this car actually went to Europe to pick out the options on this car... then proceeded to drive this curated, v12 touring convertible less than 1000 miles a year. Hey man, you can do whatever you want with your money, this certainly seems to be a one percenter situation, but don’t you just want to smack the s**t out of the guy?

An ill-conceived car, but still impressive. 😐🙂 This is a pristine low-mileage example. Back seats are for insurance reasons because the car qualifies as a 2+2, rather than a two seater sports car, which would be more expensive to insure.

In my honest opinion it has a bitter taste, when some selected cars of his auction-business get a review; what without a doubt will support the auction and support a much higher price, while other sellers don't get that kind of help. If I would be a seller - who's car does not get that video review support - I would feel pi$$ed. Just my point of view.

Just a little heads up: the flashing radio light means that if the radio loses power, a code has to be entered in order for it to work again. The Aston light means that the immobilizer/alarm is active. So another words, those two lights actually have different meanings.

This Aston has so much in common with my Jaguar XKR. I'm going to list make a list: Door mirrors Key blade Handbrake/parking brake Sun Visors Ignition switch Wiper Stalk Turn Signal Stalk Arm-rest Culp Holders (worst cup holder's ever, it is more efficient and comes off as less of a surprise to your passengers to immediately dump your drink directly on their lap or the back seat. The cup will fly off of the cup holder at acceleration or turn of above 0.2g.) Window Switches Chassis underpinings/origins (my Jag's chassis is more modern, updated, and advanced than the DB7's) The floor mats seem to have the same shape but I'm not 100% certain on this, but I think the floor pan is shared, so they very well could be interchangeable. Seat belt buckles look the same and probably are. The trunk lid mounted third brake light assembly is the same as in convertible XK8s and XKRs. And no Doug, Aston didn't come up with that design. It was originally a Jaguar design, XJ41-coupe and XJ42-convertible prototypes) that Ford shelved because the project had grown too expensive and deviated from its original vision. Then Aston picked it up, essentially only changing the front bumper, tail lights, and some other small details such as reflectors, door handles, mirrors, etc. The XJ41 and XJ42 were going to be the original F-type way back in the 90s.

Doug! The same radio was used in early 986 and 996 Porsches and the alarm fob was also used by GM-era Saabs. Both of my Saab 900SEs had that key fob. :D
