There are no more V logos then we see one as a steering wheel button. .06 slower than the competition I think we are getting picky. I know this is an old video but cars.com shows 3 of these available new in the entire country now? Someone is buying them. Analog gauges for sure need to go. Tough to be fair going in so negative on this car.

Heard Doug talking about not having a full digital gauge cluster, I just bought a 2021 CT5 V Sport and you can now spend $1,200 to get a 12 inch gauge display for all 2021 CT5 models.

Big deal Doug, my 2018 VW Tiguan automatically did everything upon remote starting. No prior selection necessary. Heat, heated seats, defrost, you name it. Just remote start and the VW did the rest.

The problem isn't with the car The problem is Cadillac and their horrible market strategists They have lost their way, in how to position and sell their brand They still make really good cars, but their market strategy is so bad, you'd never know it.

I'm a younger buyer and I personally prefer the analog and a screen in the middle. It's more concrete than a screen only in my opinion anyway.

They may have used "old school" gauges, but at least they jumped on the "Lets glue an iPad to the face of the dash" trend thats oh so popular these days.

I like this car much more than Doug does, and I have no interest in 600+ horsepower in a car, because literally, the earth is on fire. I'm looking for very good looks on the outside, good tech and comfort. I would hate bigger wheels on this car as well.

The 2021 CT5 has a 12” digital gauge cluster optional like the German competition so this will address that omission if that really concerns you. I mean even the 7-8” center display is already configurable enough probably for most people & that will be the standard gauge cluster screen now lol

I went to my local Cadillac dealer to look at these in person and to me and my friend we both said it looks like a Cadillac version of a Chevy Cruze. The panel gaps and alignment are awful. Typical GM in my opinion and the reason I don’t even care to drive one or ever own one. The 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan I own and drove there to look at the Cadillac looks miles ahead of this Cadillac in terms of quality fit and finish.

Perhaps it's not the slope roofline that ruins this car. It's the C-pillar design - the combination of that squary quarter glass and the plastic triangle which make it the cheapest-looking, if not the ugliest Cadillac I have seen in decades. It's a big shame because the rest of the car looks really nice. The design team ought to give a press conference to do some explanation and convincing to us the potential buyers.

Generally speaking, Cadillac is making affordable luxury cars cheaper than their rivals! Saying that, don't expect everything to be perfect in comparison with the others. It's a philosophy, and believe it or not I'm seeing a lot more Cadillacs on the street nowadays !!!! Guess its working!!

Fucking car gets it with that twin turbo v6. I find that a lot of these guys that rate these cars are like movie critics. Go drive it for yourself and see movie for yourself. This car gets up and goes. I have one and added a performance chip and this car stays right with the 392 dodge and walks the 5.7 hemi.

Cadillac has had two different levels of V with the previous CTS series, no shocker here. This is better value than the more expensive version that will come out. Why pay 30-40K more for the big V when it will only change the 0-60 times by a half second or something?

Here in Iran we call any Peugeot or Renault "fast" if it is over 100hp and 0-100 km time is under 10 seconds, and in America Doug says 360 hp is "not so powerful" and the 0-60 m time pf 4.6 seconds "not so fast"! Strange!

I wonder if they wanted to get a performance model out for the CT5 so they put this one out now. Perhaps the top of the line CT5's powertrain is shared with the C8 Z06 and they want to make sure that debuts first...just a thought...

Cadillac is really stepping up they’re game. This Cadillac is beautiful. I hope Cadillac in the future goes so far as to compete with other high end European luxury car brands and makes 12 cylinder cars with hand crafted detailed interiors

The CTS and XTS V sport lines had more power than this. This should have never been released.

I don't know why everyone loves to bash American cars. Engine, horsepower, torque, etc yet if a German car has the same, Americans will act like it's amazing. Most BMW or Audis have a 4cyl Turbo, yet No one comments on it and acts like they are amazing.

Too much emphasis on horsepower when the majority of the time (in USA) you are doing under 80. What's the use of 4 - 6 hundred horses stuck behind a Prius in traffic. Oh yea 20 miles over speed limit is reckless driving.

I purchased a new CT5V and it is a nice car. My car had a MSRP of $64,390. I look at Kelly Blue Book and Trade In Value is $43,350. I traded a 2018 CT6 3.0 TT Platinum and the trade in is $45,725. The CT6 was a much better car. Not happy at all.

I don't know that you always come out with the better version first. Look at the Corvette for example, that never happens. It is always Base Model, Z06, ZR1 with the exception being a Grandsport after a Z06. Also, what happened to V-Sport? I thought that was Cadillac's lower version of the V cars?

They started all motivated in the front, but once they went passed the front wheel they seem to have lost every spark of motivation and creativity and went all pre school drawing. What's with the rear quarter panel? why is there a non-window window? Didn't you learn that, if it doesn't have a purpose, don't add it?

The rear quarter window looks exactly like what's on the Honda Accord, only the Honda's is an actual window which can aid in side/rear visibilit, whereas the Cadillac's is a cheap glossy black piece of plastic. This doesn't help Cadillac's cause here.

This review is buhloney lol. No mention of the magnetic ride suspension which is awesome. I test drove it myself and it is fast and sport and track mode are the truth. 0-60 means little when it comes to speed. What about 0-100? Anyway, considering TT power, mag suspension, track mode, brembo brakes, etc, this IS a proper V.

Love the car but the side/ rear end does NOT match the awesomeness of the front 😢

These plastic buttons are mega durable, GM uses them on buttons you usualy use a lot to make them last, and they do not feel bad at all honestly.

The rear exterior styling is terrible! Ruins the look of the car. And in the white here, just looks cheap.

Don't waste your money on it. GM has gotten back into their old habit of making half-baked, overpriced vehicles.

I can't help but feel like Cadillac is getting desperate to stay relevant and competitive with other manufacturers. Most of their cars seem very generic and unimaginative to the point that I can't think of any car in their lineup that entices a consumer to want to buy from them over someone like BMW, Mercedes, or Audi.

I had the opportunity to drive one recently. I was very impressed. This car doesn't get the respect it deserves because so many people are ignoring great sedans in favor of crossovers.

Ummm a lot to take in. Firstly...BMW and Mercedes throw around the M and AMG badge on lesser performing cars all the time? Unsure why Cadillac doing that is so wrong? Secondly, why are you so impressed with electronic gauges? Not like electronic gauges are anything more than a glorified computer monitor? Cadillac is attempting to appeal to younger and older buyers at the same time...hence the multiple buttons...older people like buttons they can touch...younger people are very comfortable with touch screens. Thirdly...the sloping roof...damn you complained about that a lot...you and I know that is for a sporty look...your beloved Kia Stinger has the same except it has glass to see out of versus the Cadillac is non-functional...I do not care about a hatch-back vs a normal trunk?
